The Universal Center MU-500VA, Okuma's 5-axis multitasking vertical machining center, has won a Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun Top 10 New Products Award.

The Top 10 New Products Awards are presented every year through careful selection to the most outstanding new products developed and commercialized in Japan. The awards given this year are Special Awards to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun.

This is the third consecutive year Okuma has won a Top 10 New Products Award; the fifth consecutive year of the Machine Design Awards, also presented by Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun, are included.
